Accountability is Not Optional
Every dollar spent. Every vote cast. Every contract awarded. Every closed door meeting. In Sharp County, these things affect your roads, your schools, your taxes, and your daily life.
The Public Record is watching — so you don’t have to do it alone.
Our volunteer team attends public meetings, files records requests, reviews budgets, and follows the money so Sharp County residents stay informed about how their government is operating and whether it’s operating in their best interest.
What We Watch
The Sharp County Quorum Court, municipal governments, school boards, sheriff and law enforcement spending, county contracts and vendor relationships, property tax assessments and collections, and local election administration.
How We Report
We deal in facts. Every story we publish is sourced, documented, and verified. We don’t do rumor. We don’t do personal attacks. We follow the paper trail and let the record speak for itself.
Got a Tip?
If something doesn’t look right in Sharp County government, we want to know about it. Tips can be submitted anonymously through our contact page. Every tip is reviewed seriously and confidentially.
The people of Sharp County deserve a government that works for them. We’re here to make sure it does.
